La prima valutazione da fare nella scelta del vestito è legata alla presenza o meno di un dress code.

Formale di giorno
Se si tratta di una cerimonia formale di giorno, si dovrà indossare un classico vestito lungo.
Informale di giorno
Se, invece, è informale, e sempre di giorno, andranno bene anche abiti di lunghezza media o gonne.
Formale di sera
Quando invece la cerimonia è prevista la sera, se si tratta di una festa formale non c'è dubbio: abito lungo.
Informale di sera
Se invece è informale o semi-formale, andrà bene un vestito da cocktail.
È bene ricordare che, a prescindere dalla tipologia di cerimonia, è sempre consigliato evitare abiti cerimonia o gonne troppo corti, per una questione di buon senso.
Le tendenze di quest'anno
Se si vogliono seguire le tendenze riguardo i colori o la scelta del modello di vestito, si può senza dubbio andare sui colori pastello, specialmente il rosa, oppure tutte le tonalità del blu e del verde. Assolutamente no al bianco se è un matrimonio.
Tra i modelli più amati, ci sono i redingote o impero, con scollo a V, a cuore e infine all'americana.
E infine, gli accessori!
Dopo aver scelto l'abito da cerimonia perfetto, mancano solo gli accessori: la regola principale è quella di non esagerare! Un bracciale abbinato all'abito e un punto luce sono l'ideale per non dare troppo nell'occhio.
